Founded in 1829, King’s College London is one of the oldest university-level institutions in England. The university has 5 campuses although Bucksmore only uses the historic, and arguably, most famous Strand Campus, a short 5 minute walk from Covent Garden.

Bucksmore students studying at King’s College London will benefit from an exciting activities schedule that centres around exploring life in the capital city. All students are provided with a London travelcard so they can visit museums, landmarks and famous city sites throughout their time on their course.

Accommodation

Located only a 3 minute walk from Waterloo station, Stamford Street accommodation is located just south of the River Thames. Students are accommodated in flats of 6-7 students with one Bucksmore staff member in each flat. All rooms are single en-suite and have a shared kitchen facility for hot water and fridges. Male and female accommodation is separate.

The main teaching site is at the Virginia Woolf Building, which is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. Students will take their meals in Bush House, 2 minutes from the teaching site and adjacent to the famous Somerset House.

Visumsupport

Vi kan inte ansöka om visum för studenter. Dock kan skolan försörja dig med all dokumentation du behöver för att stödja din visumansökan.

Om du studerar i Storbritannien över 11 månader, så kommer du att få ett referensnummer kallat Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) som du överlämnar till Brittiska ambassaden tillsammans med din allmänna studentvisumansökan. Studenter som framgångsrikt har bokat en språkkurs och betalat avgifterna kommer att få ett CAS från KCL. Var vänlig notera att Brittisk lag säger att CAS enbart tilldelas studenter som planerar att studera engelska i över 11 månader.

Om du studerar i Storbritannien i 11 månader eller mindre, så måste du ansöka om ett speciellt visum som kallas Student Visitor Visa. Som en studentbesökare kan du inte arbeta på halvtid medans du studerar. Om du planerar att studera i Storbritannien i 11 månader eller mindre, så kommer ett antagningsbrev skickas till din hemadress genom vanlig post utan kostnad.
