Confident Start in English

The A1 Intensive Course gives you a solid foundation in English in just 4 weeks. Step by step, you build the skills to navigate everyday life with confidence – introducing yourself, ordering food, shopping, finding your way around town, making appointments, talking about your home, and asking for help when needed.

You systematically train all four skills – speaking, listening, reading, and writing – while expanding your vocabulary and mastering essential grammar. Each lesson is designed to bring you closer to real-life communication, so you can use English naturally in social and practical situations.

If you aim to take an A1-level English exam afterwards, this course prepares you with typical question formats, authentic listening materials, and interactive dialogues. Small groups mean plenty of speaking time, personal feedback, and a motivating learning atmosphere.

Courses are available in Vienna or online. On-site participants also benefit from our exclusive LcL Language Lab, where you improve pronunciation through interactive exercises and receive direct, practical feedback on your spoken English.

Complete elementary language acts, e.g., greeting someone or buying a ticket

Use elementary grammar and vocabulary, make sentences with simple conjunctions

Understand slowly spoken English, ask and answer questions

Write elementary texts, such as invitations, using basic grammar

Study Phonetics in the LcL Language Lab

LcL Language Institute ligger i hjärtat av Wien och är en utav de mest populära skolorna i Österrike Skolar specialiserar sig på att lära ut Engelska till utländska studenter som dig. In one of the most beautiful streets of the 7th district in Vienna.

The top renovated rooms of our old Viennese Biedermeier house from 1695 offer a comfortable and modern atmosphere to help you focus on your learning. Our offices contain five classrooms, each about 10 to 25 square meters. Every classroom is furnished with easy-to-move desks and chairs, as well as a cloakroom. On sunny days, our picturesque courtyard is also available for lessons outside. Our language institute is on the ground floor. The building itself is under monument protection, it is one of the oldest houses of Vienna. Right around the corner from the school, you will find numerous cafés, restaurants and bars as well as museums, theaters and cinemas.

Underground: U3 (Volkstheater or Neubaugasse), starting Autumn 2023: U2 and U3 (Volkstheater or Neubaugasse)
Buses: 48A (St Ulrichs Platz or Kellermanngasse) or 13A (Neubaugasse/Westbahnstraße or Burggasse/Neubaugasse)
Tram: 49 (Stiftgasse or Volkstheater
If you're traveling by car, the Contipark Garage Museumsquartier or the Payuca Garage Kirchberggasse are available for a parking fee.

The stops and parking garages listed above are at most a five-minute walk from our facilities.

It was very intensive course, thanks to which i learned a lot. Teacher was very patient and helpful. It was crazy for me to get to know people from all over the world and work with them. "I had a good experience and improved my language skills during my time there."

The location is practical and accessible. The facilities are new and some are still being renovated/improved. Some equipment such as headphones and microphones were not fully set up and were used on the last day of class. The instructor was really good, spoke clearly and explained things well. The setup of the classes was good. Ideally, it would be great to switch up class activities and make them a bit more dynamic so that it’s not as repetitive over time (such as creating dialogues or conversations). The staff is friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that they provided us with water for every class. Overall I had a very good experience. While there are things still being set up or renovated, I think this institute already has great potential for being a good resource for language learning.
