Kursbeskrivning

The IELTS Intensive course is for students who want to take the IELTS test for academic purposes.
This test is widely recognised internationally and can be used as part of an application to study at Trinity College Dublin and at several other colleges around the world which offer degree programs in English.

The course offers students practical orientation to the exam formats for the four IELTS subtests; speaking, listening, writing and reading. Students will also have the opportunity to do plenty of simulations of the speaking test and practice the other components of the test. Students will receive individual support for areas of pronunciation requiring more attention. Students will be given individual technical support for areas such as spelling, letter formation, punctuation, formatting which may be requiring more attention.
In the afternoons, after lunch, IELTS students will have the opportunity to engage in further self study in a quiet study space on campus or in their campus accommodation. They may also take a quiet stroll on the beautiful grounds of Trinity College Dublin or explore Dublin in the evenings. All IELTS students enjoy a full day tour of Dublin or tourist spots outside of Dublin every weekend.

The course is challenging and provides plenty of excellent preparation for the test day. Our CGLS Team of academic staff are well experienced in preparing students for the IELTS test and will offer you the very best opportunity, guidance and structured feedback based on IELTS bands for each subtest.

Accommodation options on campus can be booked if required.

College Green Language and Study is in Dublin city centre at Trinity College Dublin.

Trinity College Dublin is Ireland's most prestigious and oldest university. Many students and tourists visit the college campus in summer. Students of College Green Language and Study can enjoy learning English in a real Irish university environment. There are also plenty of things to do on the university campus. Students can enjoy nature, history, architecture, art, walking tours, and a sports gym with an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool. Walk 5 -10 minutes from the school to Ireland's National Gallery, 'Merrion Square' Park, the Irish Whiskey Museum and the statue of Molly Malone . The Irish pub and restaurant ' Lincoln's Inn' is 1 minute away, 'Kennedy's Pub and Restaurant' is 2 minutes away.
